Step 1

Departing from Loches, following the indications "Vers la Loire à vélo", you pass through Beaulieu-lès-Loches, the monastic, to enter the state forest of Loches, considered one of the most beautiful forests in France. , some with 200 year old oak trees. You then continue the road towards Luzillé. The history of this town is very old, as evidenced by the polisher of the Saint Martin stone, classified as a historical monument. See also the pond of Brosse, a peaceful space and a protected site. Every year, in July, the riverside municipalities celebrate their river in a good mood with "Jour de Cher", a river, artistic, sporting and convivial festival. At Chisseaux, cross the bridge and turn left along the railway line. There you go, you have arrived at the entrance of the Château des Dames with its superb gardens, its farm and its outbuildings which have some nice surprises in store for you. Let yourself be enchanted by this castle, a true jewel of the Loire Valley, its famous arches spanning the Cher and the refinement of its interiors, magnificently decorated with flowers by the castle's floral workshop.
