Departing from Loches, following the indications "Vers la Loire à vélo", you pass through Beaulieu-lès-Loches, the monastic, to enter the state forest of Loches, considered one of the most beautiful forests in France. , some with 200 year old oak trees. On your way, you will come across one of the other pyramids built at the end of the XNUMXth century and perfectly aligned to serve as a landmark. At the bend of a meander of the Indrois, you will discover the unique spectacle that your Chédigny has, that of a garden village where more than a thousand roses and three thousand perennials have taken over the streets. Only village in France labeled "Remarkable Garden" by the Ministry of Culture.

Step 2

You then continue the road towards Luzillé. The history of this town is very old, as evidenced by the polisher of the Saint Martin stone, classified as a historical monument. See also the pond of Brosse, a peaceful space and a protected site. Along the Beugnon stream, we arrive at Francueil, a village surrounded by vineyards and pastures, interspersed with softwood and broadleaved woods. You will appreciate the calm and the rural landscapes all along this route where it is good to breathe the fresh air.

Step 3

Continuing towards Chenonceaux, we finally arrive on the banks of the Cher with its soothing and preserved landscape. During the summer period, water activities are in full swing! So many possibilities to pass under the arches of the most beautiful bridge in France: the gallery of the Chenonceau castle. You will appreciate the bewitching calm of this river and its towpath which runs along it between greenery and the river where you can join the Cœur de France by bike route, Val de Cher.

Step 4

Every year, in July, the riverside municipalities celebrate their river in a good mood with "Jour de Cher", a river, artistic, sporting and convivial festival. At Chisseaux, cross the bridge and turn left along the railway line. There you go, you have arrived at the entrance of the Château des Dames with its superb gardens, its farm and its outbuildings which have some nice surprises in store for you. Let yourself be enchanted by this castle, a true jewel of the Loire Valley, its famous arches spanning the Cher and the refinement of its interiors, magnificently decorated with flowers by the castle's floral workshop.
