Nohant-Vic was born from the union between the commune of Vic and that of Nohant by Royal Ordinance of 1822. Thanks to the grandmother of George Sand, who settled in the heart of the village just before the French Revolution, Nohant was in the XNUMXth century a place of residence for a large number of personalities.

Just behind the George Sand estate, a picnic area awaits visitors who wish to prolong the day in the heart of this village where the soul of George Sand still lurks. Public toilets on Place de Nohant next to the tourist information office.
