Large 15 ha pond, rich in various species of fish located between La Châtre and Sainte-Sévère extends between the RD 84 and the RD 917 just over 4 km north of the village of Sainte Sévère.
It is set in a bocage landscape. This pond open to the public is relatively busy. The water level does not drop enormously in summer, but enough for shorelines to appear and amphibious vegetation to develop.
Biologically interesting ponds are relatively few in number in this Boischaut Sud part.
The fish population is of the cyprino-esocicole type, dominated by white fish (roach, bleak, bream, carp) and carnivores (pike, zander, black bass). The fishing hobby is relatively developed in this region, despite the private nature of the waterways, undoubtedly linked to this satisfactory fish population.
